Every time I turn into monster mommy and tell John, "I am going to get you.", he runs and throws his little arms around me or he waits to be gotten. On the rare occassion he will run. He always runs from other people. Usually he wants to chase me. Today was no different. I stood up, took out the tickly fingers and say, "I am going to get you!" He puts down his toys and comes squealing toward me face lit up with a smile, he threw his little arms around me and I scoop him up. I tell him that he isn't supposed to let me get him. He lays his head on my shoulder, wraps his arms around my neck, and gives me a big hug. It didn't work all the other times I tried to explain it to him either.

what a sweet little child.
Awww, that is so sweet! The game won't work for you, because it's you who he trusts, loves, and knows will protect him. He always go TO you. Now, do try to remember this when he's 14! LOL!

when ever I used to think about having kids I became filled with dread. That they will probably be the most annoying troublesome things ever. But i read about you and john almost daily, and I think my view is starting to change. Sometimes i actually think it may sound like fun. (Someday in the future).
Thanks for posting all your precious daily activities.
@The_modern_end - believe me, it gets annoying, but you learn to deal with it. You develop a whole lot of patience. There is no way I could have done this when I was younger without having tons of temper tantrums myself.
