  • Identity Crisis

    woven disguises of hair and teeth
    cover the darkness
    piece by piece
    veiled by sheets
    of deception

    you recollect
    things you can’t forget
    to stuff them beneath tapestries
    of beautiful  lies

    do this
    until the mirror reveals
    eyes may have been yours
    but they don’t match the ones you had before
